- The Brunette Editions boss's next LP comes out this July.
John Roberts will release his next full-length, Plum, on his own Brunette Editions on July 1st.
Roberts announced his new label last July, positioning the imprint as a home not only for his own music, but also "printed matter, recordings and books." Plum follows the first Brunette Editions EP, Orah, and the press release says Roberts recorded the eight album tracks over the past two years across LA, New York and Berlin. The final cut, "Gum," was written with LCD Soundsystem bassist Tyler Pope. Per the label's mission, Roberts has made an accompanying 30-minute film for Plum. That comes out in August.
