  • Editions Mego will release a collaborative album from Fennesz and Jim O'Rourke on June 24th. The two experimental heavyweights—Fennesz known for his ambient work with guitar and synths, and O'Rourke known for all kinds of music, including roots rock—have long orbited around each other, but It's Hard For Me To Say I'm Sorry is the first record they've released as a duo. (They previously collaborated with Mego head Peter Rehberg as the Fenn O'Berg trio.) It's Hard For Me To Say I'm Sorry comprises two side-long tracks recorded in Japan last September, according to Juno Plus. The label calls the album a "warm electronic adventure," with "O’Rourke’s gurgling harmonies swimming amongst the shimmering frequencies and strummed melodies produced by Fennesz."
