  • No Way Back will go down at Tangent Gallery on May 29th. The annual Interdimensional Transmissions party, a gathering of Motor City jocks and select guests occurring during the annual Memorial Day festival, looks back to the halcyon days of the Detroit rave scene. Over the past couple years, core No Way Back crew members including Erika and BMG have brought the show on the road, hosting events in New York and LA, but the original Detroit version has a family reunion feel—not only for the DJs but for attendees who live in or visit Detroit over the long weekend. In addition to Erika and BMG, Detroit sons Carlos Souffront, Patrick Russell, Mike Servito and Derek Plaslaiko return to the bill, as does Scott Zacharias, who played a disco-infused "sleaze" set in the early morning at least year's party. Spectrum Spools founder and former Emeralds man John Elliott and rising New York DJ Nihal Ramchandani are also on the lineup. Last year saw that crew hold down the ambient room during the main floor's acid, techno, house and IDM onslaught. The Bunker New York, which is co-presenting the party, will also be on hand, with founder Bryan Kasenic spinning a set. Interdimensional Transmissions also promises a secret live guest.
