The Northern Electronics boss is stateside for two gigs this weekend.
Abdulla Rashim will play a pair of parties in the US this weekend.
The Swedish DJ, producer and mind behind the lauded techno and experimental label Northern Electronics—which we profiled last year—has only made a few North American appearances to date. He'll be in Brooklyn once again on Friday, this time to headline The Long Count at a secret spot. Antenes (playing live), Discwoman co-founder Umfang and Nihal Ramchandani are also on the bill.
Rashim will then jet to San Francisco for a Sure Thing night at F8, which marks his local debut. Two other out-of-towners are confirmed for that one in Detroit electro favorite DJ Stingray and Seattle's Archivist.
A reissue campaign for Rashim's sought-after early EPs, from his eponymous label, was recently launched, and he's got a new release, Between The Shields, from his industrial-leaning alias Lundin Oil, due out this month through Northern Electronics. Stream a new Lundin Oil cut below.
Tickets to both parties, in Brooklyn and San Francisco, are available on RA.
