- The new version of Go Bang! #5 comes with an unreleased Walter Gibbons mix .
Get On Down US will repress two disco classics, Go Bang #5 by Arthur Russell's Dinosaur L and Weekend by Class Action, later this month.
Both tracks came out in the early '80s on Sleeping Bag Records, the New York label founded by Russell and downtown staple William Socolov. The Go Bang reissue includes a mix of Russell's enduring song by Big Apple legend Francois K titled "Go Bang! #5" as well as an unreleased mix of the tune by re-edit legend Walter Gibbons. Weekend includes the original vocal version as well as a dub, an acapella and a remix by Paradise Garage master of ceremonies Larry Levan.
