  • Making it to the top of the DJ Tree is becoming harder as more and more people take to the turntables from a young age aiming to be become the next big superstar turntabilist. However, getting the first break is becoming easier thanks to the likes of DMC staging their ‘Young UK DJ of the year’ competitions. The stakes are high with the winner not only gaining the accolade and prestige of the title but also a top of the range DJ kit from Numark & Stanton, professional PCDJ music mixing and creation software from emission UK, Shure microphones/styli and the opportunity to produce a record with a major British dance label, a 12 month DJ contract with Concorde International Artistes and the chance to play at a major international event. DMC are also organising a live TV stream on the BBC website from the brand new 'West End DJ' store which is situated in Selfridges, London. An abundance of gear, heaps of exposure and set on the path for international stardom, not a bad start for any young budding bedroom banger.
