  • Raime's second album, Tooth, is on the way. The London duo are a foundational part of Blackest Ever Black—they launched the label back in 2010 with its very first record, and their brooding electroacoustic sound has gone a long way in establishing the imprint's style. Aside from a 2013 EP as Moin, however, they've been silent since the release of their debut album, 2012's Quarter Turns Over A Living Line. The label says that this new record comprises "eight fiercely uptempo, minimal, meticulously crafted electro-acoustic rhythm tracks," with "the DNA of dub-techno, garage/grime and post-hardcore rock music spliced into sleek and predatory new forms." Blackest Ever Black goes on to say that the album is heavily influenced by the duo's work as Moin, which threw influences from rock and metal into the mix. Take a listen to first single "Dead Heat" below.
