  • Pioneer DJ is expanding its DDJ line of DJ controllers. The DDJ-RB and DDJ-RR are two-channel controllers designed specifically to get the most out of rekordbox 4.1—the software's GUI is mirrored directly on to the layout of each controller. Dedicated buttons appear on both models for Sequence Call, which allows users to create, save and recall sequences on the controller without the aid of a computer screen. In a move that seems to target DJs playing without a soundsystem, the controllers feature PC Master Out, allowing users to monitor directly from the controller while the master is routed through a computer, either to its internal speakers or an external speaker setup. The DDJ-RR is more expensive and features extras like Sequence Load for pulling sequences to a deck for further manipulation. Watch a promo and demonstration video of the DDJ-RR below.
Pioneer DJ will release the DDJ-RB and DDJ-RR in late May for €249 and €699 respectively.
