  • Severed Heads will play live at FBi Radio in Sydney on May 26th. The cult electronic outfit, founded in 1979, has been lead by Sydneysider Tom Ellard for the bulk of its lifetime, with numerous personnel changes happening along the way. Although Ellard publicly called time on the project in 2008, this past decade has seen Severed Heads revived several times for special reunion shows (with new member Stewart Lawler) including their first US tour in 25 years last September. Their upcoming Sydney show will be the first time that Ellard and Lawler perform newly composed Severed Heads material since the original dissolution in 2008. The event is part of FBi Radio's Ears Have Ears series of free shows hosted at the local station's studios, and will be accompanied by a discussion with the artists. The performance and Q&A will be broadcast live on FBi Radio from 9 PM AEST. Ellard spoke to RA for an Exchange back in 2013, dissecting his band's four-decade history. Listen to it below.
