- The new four-tracker, out tomorrow, kicks off a new series called Inversions on the UK artist's label, UIQ.
Lee Gamble will release the Chain Kinematics EP on his own UIQ imprint tomorrow, May 20th.
We haven't heard new material from Gamble in a couple of years, but 2015 saw him slip out a 12-inch of older, unheard tracks called B23 Steelhouse via his regular label home PAN. That seems set to change with the new record, which rings in the UIQ Inversions series, dedicated to Gamble's own productions.
He launched UIQ last year with EPs from N1L and Zuli, and the imprint will continue to function as usual alongside the Inversions editions. The press release says the four tracks "dovetail the artist’s interests in astrophysics, geometry and the dance floor’s mechanical systems." Musically speaking, they draw upon Gamble's jungle and techno influences.
The video artist Dave Gaskarth has made two clips for cuts off the new release. Watch the video for "004."
Watch the video for "For Infernomatics."
