Mood / Swing kicks off with D. Tiffany

- The new LA party has booked a Vancouver-focused lineup for its inaugural event.
- The first Mood / Swing party goes down on June 25th. For the debut event, the organizers, who say they plan to present "recurring nights of solid underground dance music steeped in good taste," look north to Vancouver. LA has been fairly fixated on the hazy house sound emanating from BC-based labels like Mood Hut and Pacific Rhythm, and Mood / Swing will be headlined by Vancouver artist and Pacific Rhythm affiliate D. Tiffany. The producer, real name Sophie Sweetland, released two full-length cassettes last year: one via 1080p and one via Genero. She also just issued another tape called Rarez 2012-2015 through the new label Isla. In LA, she'll be joined by another Vancouverite, Elan Benaroch. As ESB, Benaroch has released 12-inches on imprints like Leftroom and Heart To Heart. He also issued a 13-track tape as Elka through 1080p earlier this year.
