  • Belarisk will debut on Type Records with the album Moments In Shapeshifting. Lee Tindall has been active in the New England noise and experimental scene for about a decade now. He's recorded a handful of albums and cassettes alongside Dan Lopatin (AKA Oneohtrix Point Never) under the name Astronaut, and shared split tapes with Bee Mask and Bill Kouligas. Tindall's latest LP, due out this week on Massachusetts-based Type Records, brings together his interest in "abrasive noise, abstract electronics and haunting ambience," the label says. It's a sound that he calls "Hy-Fy mutant music," which heavily references '80s sci-fi and horror aesthetics. "It follows a long spell in a maze of his own confusion," the label continues, "navigating the labyrinth of corporate tech support hell to reach complete mental and physical exhaustion. The tracks came together from vivid dreams and nightmares during this time, as Tindall embraced the negativity of the New England mindset, crafting the songs as an escape or moment of clarity." Tracklist A1 Disfolding (Ganzfeld) A2 Cyraxi Quarx’th (Ve Nims III) A3 The Knot That Tied Itself A4 BeleweMoon A5 Erase All Trace (Wait To Rot) B1 The Hand That Bit Itself (Geist) B2 Ponakin (White Thorn) B3 Mirror Immortal B4 Window Painted Over B5 Ruined Rig (Contaminated) Type Records will release Moments In Shapeshifting on June 17th, 2016.
