- Fresh versions of the 1986 classic will be released to mark the track's 30th anniversary.
"Electrica Salsa," the 1986 track by Sven Väth's OFF project, is getting rereleased with new remixes from Henrik Schwarz and Roman Flügel.
Väth was one-third of OFF alongside Luca Anzilotti and Michael Münzing, and "Electrica Salsa" was released when he was 21 years old. He's rereleasing the track to mark its 30th anniversary. For new versions will be included alongside the original, with Flügel supplying one remix and Schwarz turning in three, including a dub and a radio edit.
"Roman Flügel is a friend and esteemed colleague of mine and he created a really smart version of the track," says Väth. "I'm sure that many people will be surprised by his remix. Henrik Schwarz, on the other hand, actually invited a brass group to the studio and recorded them with strings and Latin bass, which makes a great modern version." The package will see release on Cocoon Recordings on July 25th.
