The Mixtape Shop's pop-up store will open from noon to 8 PM this Saturday at 37 Box Street in Greenpoint, Brooklyn.
The Brooklyn-based online vinyl retailer launched this spring. Their wide-reaching inventory spans a few generations of dance music, from jazz, world music and soul to disco, house and techno. They also stream monthly mixes with selections of staff favorites. The Mixtape Shop will make its first foray into brick-and-mortar retail this weekend with an day-long pop-up in the Greenpoint neighborhood. They'll have all of the titles that are available on their site—minus shipping costs—as well as "beverages, DJ sets, and a few other goodies."
