  • Red Axes have two new 12-inches on the way. The Tel Aviv based-duo made up of Dori Sadovnik and Niv Arzi has experienced a steady rise over the past few years. 2016 has already seen them issue an EP for Permanent Vacation and collaborate with fellow Israeli-rooted producer Moscoman for Lovefingers' E.S.P. Institute. They remain in the cooperative mood on the first of two new releases, working with Kill The DJ act C.A.R. (the project of London producer Chloé Raunet) on an EP called Caraxes. The five-tracker also includes a remix from The Horrors' Tom Furse. The next record, out in August, kicks off with Red Axes' edit of the '80s Israeli new wave band Siam's "Tel Aviv Downtown. That one also includes a remastered Siam original,"In The Realm Of," from Siam's 1989 LP War And Peace And In-between. Red Axes mentioned Siam as a major influence in Ray Philp's recent profile for RA. Check out that feature here. Watch the video for C.A.R. and Red Axes' "Xman"
