  • The next Mood Hut 12-inch is out in August. Though the release isn't credited to a particular artist, a brief note on the Vancouver collective's SoundCloud references Mood Hut associates JLM and Chris Wang, who started up a party called Love Dancing in 2009. (JLM is the abbreviated handle for Jordan Matt, who produces as Bluntman Deejay and as part of House of Doors.) In a brief message, the label says "Love Dancing, along with Jesse Proudfoot and Chris Allen’s Good Faith, was a formative dance experience for many of us in Vancouver and an essential ingredient in the Mood Hut stew. The music on this disc dates from that period and captures some of the energy of the Love Dancing parties." Thus far in 2016 Mood Hut has put out the team-effort Disco Mantras LP as well as a 12-inch from Lnrdcroy. The crew also released a collaborative, library music-style album on Snaker.
