The two-week art, music and film festival will run from October 28th through November 11th.
London festival Illuminations has outlined the schedule for its fifth edition.
The programme, which spans art, music and film, runs from October 28th through November 11th, with various events taking place at venues throughout the city. The series opens at Autumn Street Studios with Sirens, a new show from The Bug inspired by the complications that occurred around the birth of his son. Two days later, on October 30th, Pantha Du Prince curates Blackout at Oval Space, which will see a TBA lineup perform to an audience in total darkness. The German artist will perform again to close the festival, headlining Electric Brixton alongside TBA guests on November 11th.
On Friday, November 4th at Troxy, Radiohead guitarist Jonny Greenwood teams up with Israeli composer Shye Ben Tzur and Indian group The Rajasthan Express to perform music from their album Junun, written as a soundtrack to a documentary by Paul Thomas Anderson. Other highlights include performances by Ukrainian pianist Lubomyr Melnyk and Mexican electronic artist Murcof at The Barbican (October 31st), and a screening of Tom Tykwer's 1998 thriller Run Lola Run at Mick's Garage Warehouse in Hackney.
