  • Peter Michael Hamel's Colours Of Time Re-interpreted By Wolfgang Voigt & DeepChord is out on Astral Industries now. 1980's Colours Of Time was Hamel's sixth LP. It was released on Kuckuck, the longstanding German label that has also issued records by Kitaro, Deuter and Terry Riley. Hamel's two-part Colours Of Time has similarities to the work of Riley and his Kosmische counterparts like Klaus Schulze. Astral Industries, the London-based party and label, has roped in two heavyweights of spacious techno production to rework Colours Of Time—Detroit's Deepchord (AKA Rod Modell) and Gas man Wolfgang Voigt. Both of them have put out full-lengths on Astral Industries before: Modell's 2014 effort Lanterns was Astral Industries' first release, while a live LP from Voigt arrived the following year. Listen to clips of the remix 12-inch.
