- The industrial techno duo are back this fall.
Orphx's new album, Pitch Black Mirror, will come out via Sonic Groove and HANDS in November.
Since beginning in 1993, the Canadian duo has released a half-dozen albums for the long-standing German label HANDS, and as many 12-inches for Adam X's outlet, Sonic Groove. Their new one, Pitch Black Mirror, will come out as a joint release between those two labels. Orphx's Rich Oddie and Christina Sealey are joined on the album by guest vocalist Marie Davidson, as well as founding member Aron West, who contributes additional software programming. While grounded in their signature fusion of techno and industrial music, it also draws on elements of electro, post-punk and EBM.
