  • Mark J & Freeway's Untitled LP is out via Peoples Potential Unlimited soon. Andrew Morgan's label is a one-stop for fans of synth funk, distributing and releasing modern day versions alongside the early '80s recordings that paved the way for the genre. For some time, Morgan has been working with Portland-based keyboardist Mark Jeleniewski of Freeway. They've been selling off original copies of that band's 1980 7-inch Get The Feelin', released on Nebula Circle Records, the same label that handled the debut from their close peers Nu Shooz. Now, PPU and Jeleniewski have compiled a full-length retrospective. The collection, fitting into the label's Test Pressing series, combines tracks off the 7-inch, the band's sole LP, Non-Stop, as well as a few bonus cuts from Jeleniewski's archives. Listen to Mark J & Freeway's "No More."
