Andrew Weatherall will head to the US next month for a handful of DJ gigs.
Weatherall is a legendary figure from the UK who's been pushing all sorts of adventurous music, as a DJ, producer, remixer, label boss and more, for over 30 years. Stateside bookings have been pretty rare for him, and this October visit is perhaps even more highly anticipated as it makes up for some early 2016 dates that were postponed due to visa issues. The tour will take place ahead of the release of Consolamentum, a remix album built off Weatherall's Convenanza LP—and after his Convenanza weekender happens once again in southern France.
The tour starts in Chicago on Friday, October 7th with a set at what looks to be a new event series called Manifest. Weatherall will then hit Brooklyn that Saturday to play all night for ReSolute, and he'll hang around in New York for a Beats In Space radio show appearance on Tuesday the 11th. Two days later sees him in Cambridge for Make It New's 12-year anniversary at Middlesex Lounge, and he'll jet to San Francisco the next evening for a Sunset Sound System session at The Great Northern. Los Angeles is last on this visit, on Saturday the 15th, with a Prototype party at Lot 613.
Listen to Weatherall's 1990 remix of the My Bloody Valentine classic "Soon."
