Maas will play an extended set this weekend, before King Britt is booked for a Halloween edition of the party.
Two Kompression events are happening in New Orleans this month.
Kompression, hosted by antipop in collaboration with Horn & Tail, is a key house and techno party in The Big Easy. Since its launch a little over six years ago, it's featured guests like DJ Three, Francis Harris, Laura Jones and Mr. C.
Both of this month's events are all-night affairs, as usual. The first happens this Saturday at Dragon's Den, and will feature an extended set from German jock Timo Maas, making his first New Orleans appearance in more than a decade.
Then, on Saturday the 29th, a Kompression soirée will go down at Castillo Blanco Art Studios during Halloween weekend—which is also the weekend of the long-running Voodoo music and arts festival in City Park. Philadelphia's King Britt, Fred Everything and Pete Bones are atop the bill for that one.
Helping take care of local support at both parties are residents Herb Christopher, Unicorn Fukr and Ryan Deffes, the first two of whom will also play Voodoo on Sunday the 30th. (The typically wide-ranging lineup at the festival also includes The Weeknd, Porter Robinson, Bob Moses, Gramatik and STS9.)
Tickets to Kompression this Saturday and over Halloween weekend are available on RA.
