- The Perth artist's self-titled LP is due out next month.
Phil Stroud will release his self-titled debut album on Good Company in December.
The Western Australian jazz musician and producer delivered his first 12-inch, The Forest, on the Perth label late last year, showcasing his percussion skills with two house instrumentals. Now Stroud returns with a seven-track, double-vinyl LP that Good Company calls "an artful and meditative journey, filled out with straight-up danceable joy."
Several local musicians feature on different songs on the album, with the 15-minute "Flow" employing an additional keyboardist (Jack Doepel), guitarist (Benjamin Witt) and vocalist (Tessa Darcey). The record will be made available digitally via the label's Bandcamp on November 10th, and the vinyl release will follow in mid-December.
Listen to album cut "Scintillating."
