- A Kickstarter campaign has been launched by the independent Danish company.
AIAIAI is raising money to produce a wireless headband for its modular TMA-2 headphones.
The proposed headband, called H05, is set to become part of the TMA-2's family of modular components, allowing users to simply swap out their existing headband for the new version without changing their preexisting setup. Based on suggestions from the TMA-2 user base, the H05 uses a CSR 8675 Bluetooth chip to introduce wireless control to the headphones, which also includes an omnidirectional microphone and a USB-C port for charging—two features that will allow the H05 to integrate with the iPhone 7 and new Macbook Pro. It takes two hours to fill the battery and the battery lasts for 16 hours per charge.
The goal is to raise kr300,000 (roughly $45,000) in a month with the completed product to be shipped in May 2017 if successful. A pledge of US$65 will get the first 200 backers the H05 for half price, while the next 1000 backers will need to pledge US$90.
