  • Latency, the Parisian label operated by Sidney and Suleiman, has shared details for three upcoming records. The next release on Latency is an LP from Berlin-based musician and Nonplace boss Burnt Friedman titled The Pestle. Scheduled to land before the end of the year, the album brings together six tracks that Friedman recorded between 1993 and 2011, including collaborations with Hayden Chisholm (reeds) and Takeshi Nishimoto (sarod). The next two releases will come out at some point in early 2017. The first of those will be the Kulthan EP from US producer Robert Aiki Aubrey Lowe (AKA Lichens), comprising two side-long pieces made with voice and modular synthesizer. Scheduled to follow that one is Sander, an album from Bellows, consisting of five untitled tracks culled from improvised sessions. Sander will be the Italian duo's first release since their 2015 LP Rustl for Boomkat Editions. Listen to "1999 Nerfs d'Acier," from Friedman's The Pestle LP.
