The experimentalist's latest LP lands in February.
Hyper Opal Mantis will be the first album from Kangding Ray, real name David Letellier, on Stroboscopic Artefacts, a label he's been affiliated with since 2012. Active since the mid-'00s, Letellier is known for a high-definition experimental sound, having released five LPs—including 2015's Cory Arcane—on one of the style's key outlets, Raster-Noton. The upcoming Stroboscopic Artefacts outing will be Letellier's first album on a label other than Raster-Noton, and sees him deliver ten tracks due out digitally and on triple vinyl.
