- Former owners of the East Village dive bar Lit Lounge are behind the new Williamsburg spot.
A new dance bar, Tilt, has opened at 248 McKibbin Street in Brooklyn.
The team behind it includes the owners of the much-mythologized Each Village dive bar Lit Lounge, which closed last year. The space has a small basement dance floor with 20-foot ceilings, as well as as a cafe and bar with a light food menu upstairs. The booking will feature a wide-reaching mix of DJs, the owners told Bedford And Bowery, though they haven't posted their events calendar yet. It's located underneath the McKibbin Lofts on the border of Williamsburg and Bushwick, not far from the soon-to-open music venues Elsewhere as well as the yet-unnamed club helmed by Bossa Nova Civic Club owner John Barclay.
