For the final leg in our year-long series, we've booked Silent Servant, Jane Fitz and Shackleton for a string of four events at Tbilisi's top techno club.
Bassiani will be the last stop in the year-long In Residence series, which has taken us to killer clubs in places like Chicago, Offenbach, Lisbon and Barcelona. The upcoming Georgia leg will be the first time we've set up shop at Bassiani, a 700-capacity spot located beneath Tbilisi's main football and rugby stadium (read Will Lynch's feature on electronic music in Tbilisi for more on Bassiani's influence on nightlife in the Georgian capital). Two rooms will be in action each night: the techno-focussed main room, and the smaller, house-leaning Horoom.
The series begins on Friday, February 3rd, with a techno-heavy session soundtracked by DJs Sunil Sharpe, Zitto, Kvanchi and Kancheli, and live acts Acronym and Evigt Morker, after which Silent Servant, NDRX, HVL and live sets from Vatican Shadow and Hamatsuki take over on the 10th. Things will get trippier on February 17th when Shackleton plays live, backed up by DJ sets from Jane Fitz, Zurkin, Kancheli and Rookas. The lineup for the finale on February 24th is heavy on back-to-back sets—Joey Anderson and DJ Qu will throw down together, as will Huerco S and Terekke. HVL and Kvanchi will both play solo.
