  • Warp have picked up Children Of Alice for an album release in February. Children Of Alice is a newer project from James Cargill, a former member of Warp band Broadcast, whose frontwoman Trish Keenan died in 2011. The band's name is an homage to her love of the novel Alice In Wonderland, and features fellow former Broadcast member Roj Stevens, along with Ghost Box co-founder Julian House. This self-titled record gathers up all their previously-released material, which first saw the light of day on the Folklore Tapes label. "Combining a narrative of library-rooted psychedelia with a strong soundtrack feel," Children Of Alice "perfectly fits and continues the lineage of the three members' individual projects," according to Warp, who also says there is a "sense of continuity with the evolving Broadcast soundworld."
