  • Todd Terje will release a new remix EP via his own Olsen Records label on February 24th. The press release notes the unconventional order of affairs: "After the show it's the afterparty and before the album it's the remix single! That's right folks, the Todd is back, bucking trends and shucking conventions to bring us two tip-top reworks of an as yet unreleased original." Four Tet, who recently pulled together a playlist of music from countries affected by Donald Trump's recent immigration ban, takes on the unheard original for the A-side, with Terje's Norwegian countryman Prins Thomas taking the flip. This is the fourth time Thomas has remixed Terje. In 2004 he reworked Terje's "Bodies," and he's also taken on It's Album Time cut "Leisure Suit Preben" as well as Terje's cover of Vangelis' "La Fete Sauvage." The label is playing coy with the original "Jungelknugen," saying we'll have to wait until the LP to find out more about that one. Listen to clips over at Pacific Beach Vinyl.
