  • R.A.N.D. Muzik is issuing a four-track EP with material from Kassem Mosse and DJ Carmel, AKA Perth producer Reece Walker. RM241216 is the second in-house record to come from the Leipzig pressing plant. It follows a limited-edition 2010 EP, /Dev/R.A.N.D.om/Mik/09.05.010, made and sold in collaboration with Mikrodisko Recordings, which featured tracks from Lowtec, who co-founded R.A.N.D. Muzik in the mid-'90s, and Kassem Mosse. This one has its roots in the friendship that's developed between Lowtec and Walker, who moved to Leipzig about a year ago. Kassem Mosse leads the way with an exclusive track, while Walker figures in the other three productions, offering a solo Carmel cut and collaborations with Alex Campbell as Senate and Jefferson Burrow as Fishermans Friend. The EP seems to have been quietly slipped out in late December via the local record shop Possblthings; a wider release is now imminent. You can listen to the whole thing below. Kassem Mosse and Lowtec are key players at Workshop, RA's recent label of the month.
