- An EP collecting four mixes of the 1981 Night Moves track "Transdance" is part of the label's next batch of records.
Prolific San Francisco label Dark Entries has revealed a new run of records, including its landmark 150th release, due out next week.
As usual, Dark Entries has dug deep to dust off four highly sought-after '80s new wave and synth pop records. But DE-150, which brings together four mixes of "Transdance," a track from London group Night Moves originally issued in 1981, arrives with an extra measure of emotional resonance. The label is dedicating the EP to those lost in the tragic Ghost Ship fire in Oakland last December, and it'll include an insert with drawings of each of the fire's 36 victims. All profits will be donated to an immediate relief fund. A release party accepting donations for that fund takes place tonight at San Francisco's RS94109 record shop, featuring sets from Carlos Souffront, Scott Moore and Piano Rain.
Also on the way is a new issue of Silvia's 1982 self-titled album—dedicated to the Düsseldorf group's singer (and namesake) Silvia Nemanic, who passed away in 2009—along with the 1985 LP Susan Sleepwalking from US duo Arms Of Someone New and Norwegian artist Beranek's 1981 debut full-length Sound Of Danger.
