- Two of the most iconic synthesizers in history are now available with a software subscription service called Roland Cloud.
Roland has updated Roland Cloud—a subscription service for music production tools—to include new software instruments.
The service, which launched last year, gives producers access to a number of virtual instruments in return for a monthly fee of $19.95. They rolled out an update this week that includes a few new synthesizers, among them the Jupiter-8 and Juno-106—two of the most sought-after synthesizers ever made. There's a software version of Roland's more recent AIRA System-8 synth, and adaptations of the AIRA System-1, SH-101, System-100, Promars and SH-2. There are also two "Anthology" instruments based on the D-50 and Alpha Juno, as well as an acoustic piano and a collection of "bite-sized instruments" called Flavr.
