Pact Infernal's debut album, Infernality, is coming up on Horo.
The shadowy duo previously surfaced on Samurai Horo with two EPs, 2015's The Descent (Chapter I) and 2016's The Descent (Chapter II), presenting a dark and hard-to-define sound that blurred together elements of techno, drum & bass and experimental music. Now, for Horo, which relaunched and separated from the Samurai label group late last year, they've produced Infernality, a 13-track release measuring just over an hour in length. It'll come out on vinyl and digital formats in June.
Before then, in late May, Horo will issue an EP with remixes of material from The Descent (Chapter II). Semantica chief Svreca and Avian affiliate Pris have been recruited for that one, together with key Samurai artist Ancestral Voices and Nastika, a producer who releases on the Samurai-curated Altar imprint. The set follows a 2015 two-tracker from Lucy that reworked Pact Infernal's first EP.
Pact Infernal are also preparing for their very first DJ and live gigs—details on that front are still TBA. For now, tune in to a new mix from the duo.
