Launching next month, the new outlet is for hand-stamped, vinyl-only releases of "jackin' Chicago disco house."
The Nite Owl Diner will launch a sub-label called Cool Ranch in May.
The Nite Owl Diner was founded by Chrissy and Alex Burkat in 2014, and has released music from The Black Madonna, Nautiluss and Nackt in the time since. Now the two DJs, based in Chicago and New York respectively, are starting another platform called Cool Ranch, this time for what they say is "jackin Chicago disco house with a re-edit sensibility."
The first EP, which goes by its catalogue number, RANCH 001, features two new tracks from Chrissy along with a remix from Detroit's Pontchartrain.
Ahead of the release, Chrissy will head out on a tour of Europe and the UK, starting in Edinburgh on April 27th and ending in Rome on May 20th. He also has gigs coming up in Chicago and Detroit. Check out the full listing of events below.
