  • Bumblebee Unlimited's 1978 classic "Lady Bug" is being repressed by Get On Down. The Boston-based label has reissued material from the likes of Dinosaur L, Mantronix and Mobb Deep. They've set their sights on Patrick Adams' obscure and quirky Bumblee Unlimited project, which put out one album (1979's Sting Like A Bee) in addition to a handful of singles. "Lady Bug," featuring sped-up call-and-response vocals, is arguably their most famous track, and like the original single, this new 12-inch comes with two versions. On the A-side there's the ten-minute mix (AKA the "Disco Mix") by John Morales and Frank Trimarco, and on the B the version by Paradise Garage resident Larry Levan. Listen to Morales & Trimarco's version.
