  • A new label called Mana has been started by Matthew Kent, who oversees the Blowing Up The Workshop mix series, and Andrea Zarza, a curator at the British Library sound archive. The label says it'll release music "at the intersection of contemporary and archival sound." Its first release is a reissue of Rose Des Vents. Action Musicale, a 1987 private-press LP by the Swiss composer Pierre Mariétan. According to the label, the album captures Mariétan's six-year project to "document and musicalise the sound environment of urban landscapes within France," and contains a "mix of field recording, interviews, vegetable market catcalls, braying animals and urban hubbub."
