- Bisky's new artwork is called Vertigo, and takes the place of Piotr Nathan's Rituals Of Disappearance.
Berlin's Berghain has commissioned Norbert Bisky for a permanent art installation, Vertigo, in the club's entrance area.
Bisky, a German painter and current visiting professor at the prestigious Braunschweig University Of Art (HBK), already has a connection with Berghain and its Ostgut Ton label—perhaps most notably, he provided the artwork and stage scenery for the club and label's ballet project, Masse. He also contributed a room installation called Tanzteppich and a painting, called Untitled, for the ten-year anniversary exhibition at Halle Am Berghain in 2014.
The Vertigo installation, which will be displayed indefinitely, takes the place of Piotr Nathan's Rituals Of Disappearance wall mural, which was recently sold off to allow for the reconstruction of the entrance area.
