Luke Slater and Ø [Phase] are releasing a collaborative EP under the name RoogUnit.
The duo's three-track release, titled Mesh, is due out on Mote-Evolver on June 2nd. Ø [Phase] recently remixed Slater's "Dungeon" and the two have been DJing together during Slater's Planetary Funk 22 Light Years tour.
Both Slater and Ø [Phase], real name Ashley Burchett, are long-term staples of English techno. Slater has been in the game for almost three decades and his productions continue to be influential. Burchett, meanwhile, has been producing and mastering techno since the early 2000s and is best known for his output on Token.
