- The label's tenth year gets underway with a four-track record from the Bristol artist.
Batu has an EP, titled Marius, coming out on Hessle Audio in June.
The label run by Ben UFO, Pangaea and Pearson Sound is celebrating its tenth year in 2017. (The three founders are currently in the midst of an anniversary tour.) Marius is the first Hessle Audio record of the year, and it's Batu's first for the label. The Bristol artist runs Timedance, one of RA's top labels of 2016, and he's previously put out records on several outlets with ties to his home city, including Hotline Recordings, Cold Recordings and Livity Sound offshoot Dnuos Ytivil.
Hessle Audio describe his EP as "four tracks of driving percussion and oddball atmospherics."
