  • A new festival dedicated to vinyl is to take place at Printworks London in September. The Vinyl Festival, the first event of its kind in the UK, will invite up to 6,000 people to enjoy an "immersive vinyl experience." Visitors can buy records at one of 100 stalls, have their existing records evaluated by a team of experts and browse the latest audio technology. The Vinyl Festival takes place Saturday, September 23rd and Sunday, September 24th. Q&As with Tim Burgess, Huey Morgan, Edith Bowman and Steve Lamacq will also take place. (The quartet will also DJ over the weekend.) Ian Peel, the editor-at-large and founder of Long Live Vinyl, whose publisher is organising the event, said: "The Vinyl Festival celebrates the very best of the format we all love, and is exactly what our readers have been crying out for. We're incredibly proud to bring you everything from a massive record fair to some of the UK's finest indie labels and some top headline DJ performances, all under one roof." Ordinary tickets for the event range from £16 to £40, with VIP tickets also available.
