  • Who said the dance music industry was dying? When people talk down the clubbing industry (especially in the UK), they neglect to mention events like Creamfields which a fortnight ago brought together a crowd of over 30 thousand. Many events at clubs and venues in the major cities around the world have consistently brought in the numbers and the big name DJs are still attracting sell out crowds and delivering great music. After what was a fairly big change in the industry over 2002, it can rightly be said that dance music (and especially production work) is becoming bigger and better than ever. Another indicator as to how the international industry is holding up is the major DJ pollings and the interest they generate. Voting was kicked off last week with Zabiela, Yousef, Medicine 8 Ashley Casselle and Phil K DJing at AKA bar. The voting ends on the 10th of October, when the official totals will be calculated and a party will be held in central London to announce and celebrate the rankings and as this year is the tenth. So... will Tiesto hold back Sasha and Digweed once again, will someone new take the leading role, or will the list be full of relatively fresh talent...
