The promoter pulled the three-day event in July after the venue, Skogafoss waterfall, was added to a list of endangered areas.

The xx have cancelled next month's Night + Day festival in Iceland.

The three-day event was due to take place at Skogafoss waterfall from July 14th through 16th, with the London trio joined by the likes of Floating Points, Call Super and Avalon Emerson. However, in the time since it was announced, the waterfall has been added to the Environmental Agency Of Iceland's list of endangered areas. In a statement posted to Facebook, The Warehouse Project, who were one of the promoter's behind the event, said "the challenges on this site were insurmountable and it was not possible to secure another suitable venue in time."

Refunds will be offered to anyone who bought a ticket. If you bought one via RA, the festival has issued the following instructions.

"Please allow five working days for your refund. For any further enquiries relating to flights, accommodation and transfers that have already been booked and will no longer be used, please contact: [email protected] This email address will be monitored from 9 AM through 9 PM BST each day and we will deal with all enquiries as quickly as possible."
