The Behringer D analog synthesizer—a clone of the Minimoog Model D—is available to pre-order for $299.
An employee at the online gear shop Sweetwater confirmed to Resident Advisor that their price point is indeed $100 dollars lower than when the synth was announced in March. It's available to pre-order through them, but only by phone.
Behringer's budget-friendly Minimoog Model D clone is part of a line of synths that the company plans to produce, all based on highly-coveted instruments whose intellectual property rights have lapsed into the public domain. In March, Uli Behringer took to the Gearslutz forum to say he intended to clone the ARP 2600 as well.
