It's out in October via Western Vinyl.
Like her breakthrough album from last year, EARS, the new LP is "born from a deep reverence of the natural world," the label says. The California synth artist based The Kid around the four cognitive and emotional stages of the human lifespan, and each stage is one side of a record. She wrote it with a combination of electronic sound design—using instruments like the rare EMS Synthi 100—and live orchestration, written and arranged for the Stargaze quartet by Smith. It follows her collaborative album with Suzanne Ciani, another California synth artist with a new age streak, for RVNG Intl.'s FRKWYS series.
