Underworld's 1999 album Beaucoup Fish is getting an expanded re-release in late August.
The classic album, which includes tunes like "Push Upstairs" and "King Of Snake," has been remastered and will come in a couple of new configurations via Universal Music Catalogue. A deluxe four-CD box set will bring together the original full-length along with one disc of unreleased outtakes and two more with remixes from the likes of Fatboy Slim, The Micronauts, Dave Clarke and Adam Beyer. The box will also include a 60-page book featuring an essay by Tomato, the arts collective that Underworld's founding members Karl Hyde and Rick Smith helped launch. Beaucoup Fish will also get vinyl and digital releases, along with a new T-shirt sporting the album art.
Beaucoup Fish was Underworld's fifth full-length, and the last of three iconic records from the '90s (after their 1993 breakthrough Dubnobasswithmyheadman and Second Toughest In The Infants, from 1996—both of which have gotten expanded reissues in recent years). It's also the last studio LP from the UK group to feature Darren Emerson, who would depart the next year. Nowadays Underworld is the duo of Hyde and Smith, and their most recent album, Barbara Barbara, We Face A Shining Future, came out last year.
