Third Ear will release a five-disc Thomas Brinkmann retrospective in October.
The 28-track set includes well-known tracks, unreleased material and alternate mixes from the experimental techno artist's 20-year career. A 20-page book, with track notes by Brinkmann and photos from his personal collection, is also included in Retrospektiv. It lands October 12th.
On the same day as the release, Third Ear will host a launch party at Berghain's new space, Säule. Brinkmann will perform live, with Ricardo Villalobos playing a warm-up DJ set. Also on the bill are Jackmaster, Nicola Bonandrini and Alex Downey.
