- It's out on label offshoot Sonic Groove Experiments next week.
Sonic Groove is reissuing Eruption, a rare 2005 12-inch from German electro and darkwave artist Beta Evers.
Beta Evers, real name Brigitte Enzler, originally released Eruption through her own label Kommando 6, and these days it commands a high price on the secondhand market. Sonic Groove boss Adam X has now scooped the EP up for a reissue on the Sonic Groove Experiments offshoot, an outlet for EBM, electro and industrial-leaning fare that we last heard from in 2012, by way of an album from X's ADMX-71 alias. Eruption is out on Monday.
Enzler's other solo material has appeared on the likes of Nation and Crème Organization. She's been involved in a number of collaborations as well, most notably two projects with ex-Drexciya member Gerald Donald: Gedankenexperiment and Zwischenwelt. The latter group, also featuring Susane Correia and Penelope Lopezz, saw their 2011 album, Paranormale Aktivität, given its first vinyl release last year.
Next up for Sonic Groove is a new EP from Fullpanda head Dasha Rush called Ain't No God Nor King. Due out on the 25th, it'll be Rush's third release for the label, and her first proper dance floor record in more than three years.
Listen to "Don't Be Afraid" from Eruption.
