  • Drvg Cvltvre is next up on Shipwrec with an album of Drexciya-inspired electro, due out October 23rd. "I wanted to create something that showed my massive love for their work," said the Dutch producer, real name Vincent Koreman. "I wanted to imagine what would happen after the underwater race would reconquer Earth." Drexciya's Aquatic Invasion was one of the first records Koreman purchased, he told RA, and he tried repeatedly to commission a remix from members James Stinson and Gerald Donald in the late '90s, with no success. After a few conversations with Mike Banks, Koreman received a message on his answering machine saying, "Drexciya don't have no phone, but they are too busy to do your remix." Listen to one of the cuts from the album, "Subatomic Metropolis."
