  • Flying Lotus appeared to defend The Gaslamp Killer against recent rape accusations at a show in Los Angeles this past weekend. The Brainfeeder founder, real name Steve Ellison, reportedly ended his set at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery with a track by The Gaslamp Killer, before telling the audience, "The internet is a liar." After leading the crowd into a chant, he added, "Ain't nobody judge and jury but the fuckin' law, okay? ... Let truth and justice have its day."
Earlier in the week, Los Angeles-based Gaslamp Killer—AKA William Benjamin Bensussen—was accused of raping two women in a detailed account by a Twitter user known as Chelsea. He denied the allegations. Low End Theory, a Los Angeles-based event series and crew, has since parted ways with Bensussen. Resident Advisor has contacted Brainfeeder for comment.
